Since the beginning in 2004, our goal is to assist our existing businesses in retaining and expanding jobs, to recruit new industry and business to Alba and to assist local entrepreneurship.  The Alba Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has been actively engaged in promoting commerce, developing a healthy atmosphere for business, and participating in quality of life improvements in Alba.

In May 2004 the citizens of Alba set aside a significant portion of sale tax revenue within the city limits.  Since that time, the Alba EDC has participated in several endeavors including but not limited to :

Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Zoning

City Park Parking Lot Resurfacing

Alba Country Fair

Wild Hog Cook-off

Renovations to Alba Library and Museum

Alba Welcome Center Area

Promoting Retail Businesses to City

Downtown Sidewalk Renovation

The Alba EDC can offer packages, properties, including tax credits and other incentives to new businesses that are locating within the city.
