Alba Police Department;

We at the Alba Police Dept. are constantly striving to improve the image of the city while enforcing the laws of the State of Texas and enforcing local laws and city ordinances.  I have been Chief of Police since November 2006 and we have worked diligently to clean up the city and improve the overall way of life for all the citizens.  We have torn down six abandoned and delapidated structures and we are continuing to have people take responsibility for keeping their property clean and their grass mowed thru city ordinances that in the past have not been enforced.  We also have zoning rules in place and the city is working on revitalizing the downtown square thru the Economic Development Corporation.  They have purchased property tor incoming business growth and they have replaced the downtown sidewalks.  Our mission is to make Alba a drug free and safe place for people to live or for people just passing thru.  I feel that with the cooperation of the citizens of Alba we can make it a safe place to raise our children and a place that anyone would be proud to call Alba their home!!!
